We’re exploring new ways to maintain the security and privacy of your ATO online account. Your answers will help us to improve the security of our online services and protect your information online.

An introduction to myGov

myGov is a fast, simple way to access government services online. A secure myGov account lets you link to a range of Australian Government services, including the Australian Taxation Office, with one username and password.

You can access ATO online services through your myGov account. Once logged in to ATO online services, individuals and sole traders can manage their affairs all in one place.

Hi James,

On 15 August 2016 9:40 AM AEST a new link to your Australian Taxation Office (ATO) record was created via myGov. This means online access to your personal tax and super information is available using this newly linked myGov account.
