Introducing our new look

ATO Beta
10 June 2015

When we say we’re about to unveil a ‘new look’ for, it’s something of an understatement. That’s because the significant changes we’ve made to the website – as part of an organisation-wide effort known as ‘Reinventing the ATO’ – goes deeper than just addressing how the site looks.

Sure, the new look will give a fresh, contemporary feel. But importantly, these changes will also make simpler and easier to use.

What's changed?

Our aim with the new look was to do more with less. We've uncluttered the interface. We've modernised the visuals. And we've reduced unnecessary repetition of content throughout the site. The end result is better site navigation, improved content and a more streamlined overall experience.

You'll still feel at home

While the visual refresh has involved some big changes, much has remained untouched.

We haven’t moved content or functionality, and we haven’t added new features. We haven’t changed the structure of our site, the naming of sections, or the way our online services are accessed.

Put simply, if you’re familiar with the location of particular content, or have pages on the site bookmarked, you’ll still find the information you need where you last found it.

And now it's over to you

The visual refresh signals the start of a new era for our website, one of constant improvement that's guided by your feedback.

And it's here on ATO Beta that you can help bring about the changes you want by participating in the development and testing of new ideas, ensuring only the best and most useful become reality.

We hope you enjoy the new-look and we look forward to bringing you more of the features you want in the future. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the new look in the comments section below.
